Power hides behind symbols.
War is business.
Follow the money.
We often picture destruction as fire and chaos, tanks rolling through cities, missiles lighting the sky. But the real weapon of mass destruction was never forged in steel. It was printed on paper. This piece reflects on the quiet violence of the financial system; a system that doesn’t need bullets to conquer, only belief. The dollar sign, built from two AK-47s, captures that paradox: the same forces that build economies also destroy lives.
War has always been business. Empires may change their flags, but the machinery behind them remains the same web of money, media, and manipulation. Behind every “peacekeeping mission” and “economic rescue,” there’s a balance sheet somewhere smiling. And the three-letter agencies — those faceless institutions operating in the shadows — make sure the engine never stops. Conflict is their fuel. Chaos their strategy.
They don’t just fight wars; they manufacture the need for them. What’s frightening is how invisible it all becomes. You don’t hear the explosions of inflation. You don’t see the casualties of debt. Yet every policy, bailout, and “strategic intervention” leaves its own quiet battlefield behind.
Creating this work reminded me how easily power hides behind symbols, how a currency sign can become a trigger, how peace can be weaponized for profit. If there’s something to take from it, it’s that true awareness begins when you stop believing that war and finance are separate. They’ve always been one and the same — two sides of the same minted coin.
The dollar
The dollar, A tool of oppression, a source of destruction, A force to be feared, a power to despise, A symbol of greed, a world of lies.
It fuels corruption, it funds wars, It destroys nations, it opens scars, It oppresses the weak, it crushes the poor, It creates chaos, it leaves nothing pure.
The dollar buys power, it sells out our dreams, It enslaves the many, it rules the regimes, It values profits over people’s lives, It creates division, it shatters ties.
It breeds inequality, it fuels despair, It’s a weapon of choice, a global nightmare, It poisons the world, it sows the seeds, Of discontent, of anger, of unmet needs.
So let us reject the dollar’s might, And strive for a world that’s just and right, Where power is shared, and hope prevails, And love and compassion never fail.
