Bone and feather. Beauty and decay.
Peace is claimed.
Freedom is carried.
For me, this piece started with the contradiction between symbols we grow up with and the reality underneath them. The dove has always been held up as the perfect image of peace — pure, fragile, untouchable. But peace doesn’t come without scars. It doesn’t live in a cage, it doesn’t survive by being silent.
That’s why this dove is shown as bone and feather at the same time, still carrying a flower that blooms with a skull at its core. Beauty and decay in one breath. A reminder that peace is not just soft — it’s fragile, it’s fought for, and it’s always shadowed by what came before.
The words “No cages, no masters, no chains, no fear” are not just slogans — they’re the foundation of what freedom means to me. Real peace doesn’t come from obeying, or from being kept safe behind walls. It comes from stepping out, breaking what holds you, and facing the cost of being free.
This design is personal: it’s about my own search for freedom, and the realization that peace is never given. It’s claimed, defended, and carried — even if the dove that carries it looks more like bones than flesh.
