Who pays for the roads?
Who gets to decide?
Every conversation about freedom somehow ends with a road. When I question taxation, the reply is almost automatic: who will pay for the roads? As if appreciating a stretch of asphalt means accepting every demand made in its name.
I like good roads. I also want to question how they are funded, who gets to decide, and how much control we are expected to surrender along the way. For me, useful infrastructure is a reason to think harder about cooperation, responsibility and consent. The conversation deserves to go further than the next junction.
Freedom carries work with it. Build something. Learn how it works. Keep it running. The workshop belongs in this story as much as the open road: independence takes tools, care and people willing to do their part.
Three moments from the same ride, carried onto your screen. A pause, an open stretch, a little maintenance before heading out again. Good roads. Bad systems. Still plenty of places to go.
Take the art.
Make it yours.
Choose a view. Keep your distance.
A different horizon, every time you look.
